The most talked about headline from yesterdays NFL games was the status of Washington Redskins superstar rookie QB Robert Griffin III after sustaining a viscous hit at the end of a run. He was slow to get up and ended up leaving the game with a mild concussion.
New Orleans Saints quarter back Drew Brees reached another milestone in his career as he became the sole record holder for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (48) which breaks a 52-year record held by Hall of Famer Johnny Unitas.
Unitas passed for 10,645 yards and 102 TDs during his 47-game streak.
Brees has tallied more than 14,000 yards and the pass to Colston was his 112th TD pass in 47 games.
Referees aren’t the only ones in college football that won’t stand for showboating. Florida’s Louchiez Purifoy tackled a punt returner and while he was posing his teammate took him out.
