The New York Knicks fans has to wait over four hours before their team finally made their first selection in the 2012 NBA Draft. With the 48th pick in the draft, the Knicks picked forward Kostas Papanikolao from Greece.
No one in the crowd ever heard of him. The fans reacted by throwing their hands in the air and booing.
The good news is that Papanikolao has a “tremendous upside” and is “NBA ready” which are two phrases we heard throughout the draft. The downside is that he probably can’t play for two more years.
