The Houston Rockets paid a lot of money to get Jeremy Lin from the New York Knicks in the off season and signed an insane 5-year, $80 million contract to bring James Harden over from the Oklahoma City Thunder this week.
Well, so far so good.
Last night Lin was very solid with 2 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals while Harden was on fire with 37 points and a 56% field goal rate.
Both trades were controversial for their former teams as Lin seemed to spark a fire in the Knicks that got them to the playoffs and Harden was the 6th man of the year while helping the Thunder to the NBA Finals. While their former teams want these two to fail hard, their hopes weren’t answered last night as the Houston Rockets beat the Detroit Pistons 105-96.
